FIRESTARTERS Languages, Settings and Translation Reports

Check English, Japanese and Russian support, distinguish text from full audio, and find the official channels for translation and language-related issues.

Which languages are officially listed?

English, Japanese and Russian appear in the current Steam language table, with interface and subtitle support. None has a full-audio checkmark in the reviewed table. Text localization therefore should not be described as a promise of complete voice acting in each language.

Where is the language selector documented?

The developer’s February 20 Japanese announcement and February 22 Russian announcement give Main Menu → Settings → Game Settings → Language. They also say a Japanese or Russian Steam UI language should select that game language automatically. These are explicitly demo-era instructions; the current build’s menu wording has not been independently tested here.

Check the current on-screen settings before following a video from a different version.

How should you report a Japanese translation problem?

Use the pinned Japanese localization discussion. Its opening message requests the affected scene’s text, with even a partial excerpt being useful. Identify the scene and the issue clearly so the localization team can locate it; a general statement that a sentence looks wrong is harder to act on.

If the problem is rebinding rather than wording, the keybind page covers the patch and the historical reset response from that thread.

What if Russian dialogue crashes the game?

Update first. In the release crash thread, the developer identified the issue and stated that build 0.2.2.1 fixed it. If you still reproduce a crash, include the language, scene, build, and fresh log instead of assuming an older workaround remains necessary.

Use the log guide to collect the relevant file. For supported operating systems and input-device limits, see the separate platform reference.
